Eyeglasses frames are required to have a certain degree of hardness, softness, elasticity, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, light weight, luster and good color and so on. Therefore, the metal materials used to make spectacle frames are almost all alloys or used after metal surface processing.
1. Pure titanium frame
Titanium has a specific gravity of only 4.5, which is very corrosion-resistant, and its strength is twice that of steel. It is used to make space shuttle watch cases. It is called “space metal” and has no metal allergies. With the development of technology, titanium has become the mainstream. Titanium materials in the European and American markets mainly come from Japan. Titanium frames are generally expressed as Ti-P or TiTAN, and are basically made of titanium except for torsion, hinges, and screws.
2. Memory titanium alloy frame
Refers to a new alloy composed of nickel and titanium at an atomic ratio of 1:1, which is 25% lighter than normal alloys, has the same corrosion resistance as titanium, and has very good elasticity. Memory titanium alloy: It has the characteristics of shape memory below 0℃, and high elasticity between 0-40℃. The corrosion resistance of memory titanium is higher than that of Monel and high-nickel alloys, but it is better than pure titanium and β -Titanium is inferior.
